MEET THE OWNER

Matt Fizell, CFP®
Welcome to Harmony Wealth, I am so glad you found us.
I have spent the last 5 years of my career working with some of the brightest minds in financial planning, and I am excited to bring those experiences to those who I enjoy working with the most.
I started Harmony Wealth to take the best practices from all my experience, and build an adaptive financial planning experience that will serve you well no matter where life may take you.
To me, work should be something I look forward to each and every day, something that generates excitement, but allows for all areas of life to work together, in harmony.
My mission is to help others take the leap to find their fit, and remove the financial worries that may arise along the way.
The other areas of my life in harmony are enjoying time on the lake, spending quality time with friends and family, serving the local foster care program, and finding that next travel adventure.

What does that all mean for me?
The only form of payment we accept from you is through your financial planning fee, or the investment management fee if we are in charge of your investment assets. Amounts vary depending on how you work with us, and this will be clearly explained before you sign any agreements and pay any fees.
Fiduciary is a legal term for our duty to act in your best interest. This means disclosing any potential conflicts of interest, being objective in our recommendations, and by not accepting any commissions or selling products, this allows us to find the best solution rather than the one that will pay us the most commission. As mentioned above, we don’t earn any commission on products that may be used to build your financial plan.
The CFP® certification is considered the standard of excellence for the financial planning profession. Before being able to use the designation, each certificate holder must complete the following requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree and CFP® Board Registered Coursework
Exam: A 6-hour, 170 question exam.
Experience: 6,000 hours of working experience.
Ethics: Sign the Ethics Declaration, Background Check, and adhere to the Fitness Standards, Code of Ethics, and Standards of Conduct outlined by the CFP® Board.
In order to maintain the CFP® designation, each certificate holder must complete an additional 30 hours of Continuing Education (CE) every two year reporting period.
You can read more about all of these items here, at the CFP® Board’s official consumer website here.
